Dune: Awakening is among the most highly anticipated MMOs, but Funcom has yet to disclose a release date. However, Funcom did demonstrate some alpha gameplay footage during an interview section, which revealed some key concepts that will be implemented in the game. The game will feature an open-world recreation of Arrakis, which significantly emphasizes crafting and survival, which appears to be a fitting theme for one of the most dangerous planets in the known cosmos.
Just like the Dune movie, Dune: Awakening takes place in Arrakis, a dangerous and hostile desert planet that is one of the most deadly planets in the known cosmos. The massively multiplayer online game features open-world gameplay and places a significant emphasis on survival and crafting.
