Just before it’s finally released, Ghost of Tsushima’s launch trailer shows off some of the game’s cinematic fights and gorgeous environments.

Ghost of Tsushima trailer packs a ton of tantalizing details into just under one minute and it is available to watch online now. Ghost of Tsushima has become one of the most eagerly awaited Playstation 4 titles of the summer after making a splash with its gameplay trailer. Fans have been waiting for two years for Ghost of Tsushima and finally, they got an unfortunate surprise with a slight delay just before its release.

Disruptions and delays quickly hit the video game industry during the worldwide coronavirus pandemic. Fans feared that the release date might get delayed by Ghost of Tsushima. With the game being pushed back from its June 26th release date, those fears were confirmed shortly after. Fortunately, that delay out to be less than a month. The launch trailer came out a little bit early but Ghost of Tsushima is set to launch this Friday.

The trailer shows a rapid sequence of images showcasing a huge variety of environments in the game. It also shows off some impressive tricks that Jin will have at his disposal, a grappling hook, and flash bombs. Sucker Punch has talked up Ghost of Tsushima’s use of landmarks and environmental cues to guide players rather than map icons.

Anticipation is high for Ghost of Tsushima. After it was revealed that some phrases were mistranslated in the Japanese version of the game, there have been some concerns raised about whether the non-Japanese developer can deliver an authentic story about Japan.

There might still be reasons to be cautious about Ghost of Tsushima but the launch trailer shows that there should be no lack of stunning action and jaw-dropping environments. If the final product is as good as the trailer makes it look, it should be a fitting send-off to the PlayStation 4 from Sucker Punch.
