Halo Infinite’s creators, 343, reveal a massive change to a new content-releasing method.

Halo is a well-known military science-fiction media franchise, which is currently under the management and development of 343 Industries. With a long history and years of accumulating a total of 30 million gamers, as of early 2023, the players were taken by the level of detail in every story released with every new game and yes, no game is perfect because it had its ups and downs.

With rumors of a new tabletop and its current title, Halo Infinite, the studio behind them has revealed that Halo Infinite’s coming update will be scrapping the traditional seasons in the favor of a shortened “Operation.” However, fans may rest assured that a new flood of content is set to come to Halo Infinite throughout 2024.

Interestingly, the method of content delivery will be a complete flip on the script. The developers re-imagine the new structures of battle passes and future updates to come to the game’s content. In an hour-long reveal, the community director Brian, “ske7ch”, Jarrard shared with players the new features in Halo Infinite’s up-and-coming update.

With an inside look at the new features, it was also confirmed that there were no plans for expansions on the game’s campaign. While this is kind of sad, players will be treated to a new map, cross-core customizations for helmets, a bunch of new Covenant-inspired items for the forge mode, along with a new Spartan IV armor core.

Shocking the community alongside this decision, this whole new path will not cost players a dime. With 343 scrapping the plans for season 6 along with restructuring Halo Infinite’s battle passes approach. With the move from traditional seasons, some are concerned that 343 Industries will slowly start to withdraw support from Halo Infinite.

Overall, from Halo Infinite, after having some backlash with the lack of content in earlier seasons, by critics, the new path for Halo Infinite will bring new development of 343 Industries‘ content. Along with the new format for the game, this will give small but regular updates while releasing the content in bursts, allowing players to get their fill in free, fun, and engaging ways.
