Arrowhead has announced a new premium Warbond for Helldivers 2, arriving later this month.
There will be a new special Warbond for Helldivers 2 that adds to the game’s already large library of content released after it came out. The new update, called the Redacted Regiment Warbond, is set to come out on January 20. It will add new weapons, gear, and cosmetic items to the battlefield, giving players more choices.
The Redacted Regiment Warbond introduces two new primary weapons that offer extensive versatility. One of the best weapons is the R72 sensor rifle, which is a mid-range gun with a silencer. This rifle is clearly made for controlled battles, so you can kill enemies precisely while staying mostly out of sight.
It has a different pace than louder, heavier choices, and it works well for coordinated team play.
It comes with the AR59 suppressor, a full-auto assault gun that gives up stealth for long-lasting firepower. It can also put out fires, but because it is automatic, it works better in fierce firefights where you need to hold your ground or push forward quickly. You can already see how these two weapons work well with different play styles. This gives squads more options for completing tasks.
It also comes with a new backup weapon called the P35 Re-Educator pistol. This sidearm stands out because it does something very different. It doesn’t fire normal bullets; instead, it shoots darts that make organic enemies, like Terminids, see things that aren’t there.
This makes enemies act randomly and unpredictably, which can give you short windows of opportunity in battles that would normally be too difficult to win. It changes its effects when used against Automatons to glitches that mess up their behavior in a way that is both smart and fun.

The Redacted Regiment Warbond includes weapons, along with the standard set of cosmetics and customization options.
These updates are pretty much a given at this point, but they’re still a big part of what makes Helldivers 2 fun. You may add custom weapons, cosmetic upgrades, and themed apparel to your soldier to make them stand out while still fitting in with the game’s military style.
We’ve seen how these Warbonds keep a good mix between style and function, making success feel good without taking away from the core experience. The thing that stands out the most is how much Arrowhead Game Studios is still supporting Helldivers 2.
Adding new content all the time makes it seem like the game is being worked on over a long period, rather than released for a short time. You can tell how committed they are by how each Warbond adds new features that subtly change how tasks are played.
Helldivers 2 has already shown that it can be fun to play with others, and new features like the Redacted Regiment Warbond help sustain the pace.
It seems like each update builds on the ones before it, rather than just adding extra stuff. New guns give players new ways to play, and experimental tools like the P35 Re-Educator add moments of chaos that fit right in with the game’s mood.
As January 20 draws near, players can look forward to another reason to join the fight again. This Warbond gives you new tools that might change how you approach the war, whether you are still deployed or thinking about coming back after a break. Helldivers 2 isn’t going to slow down any time soon as long as Arrowhead keeps helping the community and adding new features to the game.
