The upcoming film about the making of Rocky, titled I Play Rocky, released its first production photo.
It seemed like it was a matter of time before a movie about Rocky’s production got made. I play Rocky, which is definitely years in the making. The story of how Rocky was made was so incredible. Sylvester Stallone has told the story numerous times, but it’s about time we see it made into a film.
I don’t see a problem with making these kinds of movies, as seeing how movies get made is very inspiring for the next generation of filmmakers. Not only does it inspire future filmmakers, but it also helps educate the general audience about how movies are made and how difficult it is to make them. It shows how many little moments turned out to be incredibly important moments.
This movie will probably also be one where they’re trying to get some nominations for the award season. I have a feeling it’ll come out in the fall because it is a biopic, and they usually get nominations. Sylvester Stallone’s life is so interesting, and I think it’s awesome that they’re finally making a movie about him, specifically his time making Rocky.
All he really had at that time was himself and his dog, so it’s only fitting that the first photo we see on set is him with his dog. Amazon MGM Studios is making a film. Anthony Ippolito is playing Sylvester Stallone in the film. While production is currently underway, we’ll see how long it takes for the actual movie to come out.
Ippolito also played Al Pacino in the Paramount+ limited series The Offer, which told the story of how The Godfather was made. The Offer was a great show, so I’m hoping to see him bring an outstanding performance of this as well.
