Immortals of Aveum is gearing up for a magical fight.

New gameplay and story features for Immortals of Aveum have been revealed in a new trailer titled Unpacked, giving a more in-depth look at the world of Aveum. In it, it is possible to see the many different uses of magic and five unique kingdoms that you’ll be able to explore.

Engulfed in an endless war between the realms, eponymous character Jak is a battlemage who can control the three styles of magic available. United with a ragtag group called the Immortals, Jak must save Aveum against a tyrant hellbent on destroying the world.

A bracelet named the Sigil on Jak’s right hand is the catalyst that allows him to use his deadly color-based magic powers. Red sigils for close-quarter combat, blue for long-range lightning bolts, and green for quick movement. Successful mastery of each spell is crucial to excel in combat. The new trailer also showed robust customization features and crafting, including totems, braces, and rings to boost Jak’s stats and abilities.

Created by brand-new developer Ascendant Studios and published by EA Originals, Immortals of Aveum is a magic-based FPS that gives its spin on the genre, having high-octane shootouts and fast-paced gameplay. The developer comprises several key staff members of games such as Call of Duty and Dead Space, so it is easy to see their veteran experience shine through on this new game.

Immortals of Aveum was also recently delayed from July 20th to August 22nd in a statement by the team to polish and bring home the stylish experience it is aiming for. It will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC via Epic Games Store, EA App, and Steam.
