Remember the classic style of old-school PC shooters? Impaler brings that back with a fresh new feel.
Arena shooters are a pretty popular sub-genre of games now. But what they lack is the nostalgia factor. When it comes to Impaler, the game brings us the classic feel we’re familiar with. It also adds in a few features that wouldn’t have been possible with the older generation of classic shooter titles.
There are plenty of crazy things to experience in this title. Summon spikes to defend against the multitude of enemies. And build barriers to slow down enemies that manage to get past the spikes. If a quick getaway is necessary, employ the use of bunny hopping and strafing to increase one’s movement speed. And if you feel like conserving the ammo for one of the seven available weapons, drop on monsters from above to deliver a heavy stomp attack.
Additionally, there are several upgrades for one to acquire. With more than 40 unique upgrades available, gathering as much gold as possible is extremely important. How else is one supposed to blast away the 10 enemy types? Make sure to be careful, though, since bullets can come right back in your direction.
