You’ll learn to never trust a mushroom. In the title Is It You, you’ll have to become both a master deceiver and a lie detector.
It’s already hard for us to trust any mushroom we come across. Add to that paranoia with Is It You, a game from the minds of developers OneXP and publisher REMAG. In a universe populated by sentient mushrooms, you are one of many varieties of fungi. You’ll have to trust the other mushroom people up to a point. But it is best not to place all of your faith in any one person, you see. Because one of these mushrooms exists only to eliminate all the others.
Many different classes of mushrooms exist that can turn the tide against the killer or killers. Take on the role of Shaman and commune with players who’ve already died, utilizing clues others may have missed. One might benefit as well from choosing the Influencer role and changing someone else’s vote to their liking. Or one might choose to go with the Oracle and see if another player is honest about the role they claim to be playing.
Is It You will have room for anywhere from 8 to 15 players. Join the Steam Playtest on August 6 and 7th, 2022, to get a first look at the title. The game is set for official release in the late summer of 2022.
