This collaboration follows the announcement that Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 will premiere in July 2025. A theatrical film recapping Season 1 and featuring a special anime episode, Hoshina’s Day Off, will also debut in Japan on March 28 and hit U.S. theatres on April 13, 2025.

For those new to Kaiju No. 8, it’s an anime series that follows Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old who dreams of joining The Defence Force alongside his childhood friend Mina Ashiro. Working in Kaiju’s corpse cleanup, he meets Reno Ichikawa, whose determination inspires Kafka to take the entrance exam and fulfill his promise.

However, after an unexpected encounter with a small kaiju that merges with his body, Kafka gains supernatural abilities. As he fights alongside his human teammates, he must prove himself while battling increasingly powerful Kaiju to protect the world.
