Kingdom Come Deliverance Is Arriving At Switch As A Result Of An Administrative Blunder

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is getting a Switch port because of an administrative error made by a developer at Warhorse Studios.

During the present, Koch Primetime E3 2021, Warhorse Studios’ Tobias Stolz-Zwilling took the virtual stage to clarify the beginnings behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance on Switch. Things being what they are, the port was never expected to occur. Obviously, eventually, during the time spent dispatching Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition, somebody at Warhorse Studios erroneously filled in a container on a structure demonstrating a Switch variant was going on when nothing of the sort was in the plans.

“Some kind of confusion happened at the end of last year,” Stolz-Zwilling said. “We at Warhorse Studios were setting up the arrival of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition on PlayStation and Xbox, yet somebody probably marked some unacceptable box in Japan, and it resembled it will be delivered on Switch too … Obviously, at that point, there was nothing existing that way. We were not in any event, thinking about the likelihood that Kingdom Come: Deliverance could go on the Switch.”

When the deceptive data spilled via web-based media, things just spiraled wild from that point, with the following online media buzz being a critical factor in Warhorse’s choice to bring Kingdom Come: Deliverance to Switch. “We started to think ‘there’s a lot of interest, there’s a lot of buzzes, people are actually talking about us, reaching out to us; they seem to want Kingdom Come: Deliverance on the Nintendo Switch, so we started to think … and now here we are.”

If you missed Kingdom Come: Deliverance during its underlying delivery, it’s a difficult middle-age RPG with an emphasis on authenticity, from period-precise food, districts, and engineering to history-motivated characters. That authenticity also extends to the visuals, as even at two years old, it’s probably the prettiest game I’ve played at any point. I’ll be restless in determining what it looks like and how it plays on the Switch’s lesser equipment.

We don’t have a delivery date for Kingdom Come: Deliverance on Switch presently, yet when we know, you’ll know.
