Most time in an RTS title, players are able to traverse across great distances with their forces. In Last Train Home, it is changed up a little. Soldiers will only engage in battle in the immediate vicinity of designated train stops. While that may sound troublesome, it is important for personnel to gain experience so that their skills may be utilized in the future.
Aside from battle, one must also address issues with the locomotive as well. Upgrade certain areas to allow for greater storage, defense, and even speed. Conducting the maintenance oneself isn’t necessary, but supervising repair efforts is definitely recommended.
