It has been confirmed that coach and broadcasting Hall of Famer John Madden has sadly passed away at the age of 85. In case you somehow do not know who he was, he was one of the best coaches in history with a phenomenal 76% winning record. Most notably, winning the Oakland Raiders their first ever Super Bowl in 1976. After coaching, he became one of the greatest sports commentators ever. The man became a revolutionary for not only the NFL but also gaming. If you are a huge fan of Madden NFL games, then you should thank and honour John Madden, as he’s the reason for your love of the game.

As a gesture and to pay our respects to the icon, many fans have requested that John Madden be on the next cover of the Madden NFL game, as one of the ways to honour his legacy, and many people agree with this idea.
