Mafia: The Old Country gets a new update in the festive period.
Mafia: The Old Country has just received a brand-new update that, according to the game’s official Twitter page, includes fixes for several of the game’s most complained-about issues. Since the release of Mafia: The Old Country, it has been met with constant complaints.
But now, it is said that they have listened to player feedback across the board and have created this new update for consoles, PC, and game saves. Although some issues persist in the game, this new update is a good start. The update is now available for download.
The following are the fixes they have said to have made:
- Save Game
They have addressed the issue where some players have said that, at times, the game would automatically lose progression after replaying a chapter. Most of the time, this happens when players increase the difficulty and quit the game.
- Consoles
They have addressed the issue of players experiencing a loss of functionality in Photo Mode, especially after a controller is disconnected.
- PC
They have made a couple of fixes for the PC players. The first is that they have addressed the problem that would, strangely, cause Nvidia’s Frame Generation to be disabled, especially after performing certain menu transitions. Plus, they have dealt with the additional instability issues.
With these issues corrected, Mafia: The Old Country has become more playable. But since they announced the update, players have mentioned the unresolved issues. Such as the achievements and trophy systems, which are buggy; free ride mode needs fixing. A player has mentioned that you are unable to shoot NPCs.
Thankfully, the Mafia game’s Twitter assured them that they are looking more into the new complaints and will get on it as soon as possible. As of right now, with the new update, I can enjoy Mafia: The Old Country even more.
