A new roadmap reveals heroes, costumes, balance changes, and long-awaited features in Season 4.0 and beyond.

Marvel Rivals dropped a massive amount of news when Season 4 came out. Today is the start of early access, which lets fans see what the big changes will be over the next month. We might expect big streamers that will show off Angela, the newest hero, and the new material coming out next week, such as the Season 4 Battle Pass, from 5 to 7 P.M. Eastern.

Season 4 starts on September 12 with the “Fruit of Immortality” Battle Pass. Loki’s mysterious new look, Jean Grey’s long-awaited Dark Phoenix form, and Mecha Moon Knight straight out of What If…? are the three outfits that stand out. With new comics and lore pieces, like Her Sister’s Keeper, which looks at Angela’s relationship with Hela, Season 4’s story takes place in K’un-Lun.

A lot of seasonal events are getting hotter, too. New storylines are added during the “Scroll of the Immortal Beast” event, which also gives players a free Wasteland Ultron outfit. Twitch Drops are also back, and they now have Blade’s Will of Galacta cosmetics. You can get them after watching any Rivals stream for just four hours.

September 12 also brings big patch notes. Costume Rotation is added, letting players go into battle in clothes that were chosen at random and keeping outfits they don’t want. When it comes to balance, the meta is changing a lot. Emma Frost and Captain America lose some power, but Thor, Doctor Strange, and Peni get a lot of it back.

Duelists are getting a lot of changes. Magik is getting powerful new abilities, Moon Knight is getting a second blade, and Scarlet Witch’s ultimate is now pulling enemies into a deadly 9,999-damage vortex. Jeff even gets some attention with an ultimate that leaves a strong healing pool behind.

The swimsuit season starts again on September 19. The Punisher, the Human Torch, the Mantis, the Invisible Woman, and even the Thing get new beachwear in Summer Special Volume 2. Apparently, one thong wasn’t enough for them.

The long-awaited Heart of Heaven map comes out on September 26. It takes place in K’un-Lun after it has been merged with six other heavenly towns. This update also gets rid of Hela’s beautiful Grim Lady outfit, which made people immediately think of Resident Evil’s Lady D. It also adds new items that are based on Quicksilver, Polaris, Cloak and Dagger, and White Fox.

Things get really exciting in October. Emma Frost gets a Hellfire Protocol skin on October 3, but the big news is that Season 4.5 starts on October 10. Daredevil is now officially a part of the team, and placement matches for ranked mode should start during this time.

Season 4 looks like it will be Marvel Rivals‘ most ambitious update yet, with Angela’s first appearance and Jean Grey as the Dark Phoenix, as well as swimsuit events, game-changing buffs, and Daredevil’s long-awaited arrival.
