BioWare’s Masterpiece, Mass Effect, is available on Game Pass.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition was released in May 2021 to the adoration of new and old fans alike. The old fans got to dive back into a world they know so well, whilst newer fans finally caught up and realised that when BioWare are on form… they’re on form!
Now, Mass Effect Legendary Edition has made its way to Game Pass, which by rights will extend the fanbase even further. The action RPG series will hopefully bring even more fans into the fold. The more fans, the better.
Mass Effect stands on the pedestal of RPG greats and hopefully should be regarded with complete and utter reverence in terms of its iconic nature within the games industry. Now is the perfect time to play it. With the next Mass Effect a distance away, diving into the old isn’t a bad call. Plus, the games still have more to discover even after a decade.
Information on any of BioWare’s upcoming projects is slim to none. The most recent information given was a blog post claiming that the studio was hard at work on their next projects: Dragon Age 4 and the next Mass Effect.
The expectation is that the following Dragon Age Game may be released at some point in 2023, which means fans may have to wait a while before they can get their annual BioWare fix. (The three other Dragon Age Games are featured on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as well.)
Ultimately, I’m sure that fans can patiently wait for BioWare’s triumphant return to the fold of RPGs. More so by replaying/playing for the first time some of the beloved classics that made BioWare a household name.
The next BioWare release comes in the form of Star Wars: The Old Republic, Legacy of the Sith expansion, releasing February 15. See our article about it here.
