The hit Netflix series, Wednesday, has more horror and action coming its way in Season 2.

Jenna Ortega is a well-known actress and remains a most wanted star in Hollywood, the young up and coming star has become so popular for her role in the hit Netflix series Wednesday that she had to leave her role in the Scream franchise for her ongoing commitment to her Netflix series – The spin-off arc from the hit movies, The Addams Family.

Following the main character and daughter of Gomez and Morticia Addams, as she makes a fresh start at a school for outcasts. She faces off against her current challenges along with surviving trials and taking some sinister revenge on those who deserve it. She’s also seen solving the mysteries of Nevermore Academy and Ortega took fans by storm with her perfect performance and embodiment of the iconic character, Wednesday Addams.

In a recent update during an interview that was done at the Primetime Emmy Awards, Ortega was asked some questions by E! While on the red carpet for the awards event. While at the event, Ortega was nominated for the Best Lead Actress in the comedy series titled, Losing Out to Quinta Brubson. During the interview with Ortega, the entertainment juggernaut revealed that she had gotten “some scripts” regarding the second season of Wednesday that would get fans excited.

Ortega stated – “We’re definitely leaning into a little bit more horror,” further stating that “It’s really, really exciting because, all throughout the show while Wednesday does need a little bit of an arc, she never really changes and that’s the wonderful thing about her. There’s really, really good one-liners and I think everything’s bigger.” She added on “it’s a lot more action-packed. Each episode will probably feel a little bit more like a movie which is nice.”

With Ortega in the lead role of the iconic Addams Family character attending Nevermore Academy, it was revealed in December that a spinoff focusing on the character and everybody’s favorite uncle, Uncle Fester Addams, who was brilliantly portrayed by actor Fred Armisen is currently in development by Netflix.

With the hit Netflix series, Wednesday, leaning more towards the horror genre, Ortega also reflected on the show’s first season and admitted that the horror elements of the show need to be more seen, as well as having any Romantic interests for the character Wednesday removed with Ortega admitting the love-triangle she found herself in “made no sense” for the character, Wednesday Addams.

Overall, with the new season 2 of the Netflix series, Wednesday, fans can expect a lot more action and horror to come with Wednesday being her iconic self and the mysteries of Nevermore Academy, and only time will tell what else Netflix can have in store who knows maybe even a game or two.
