SEGA is developing a new game, Sonic the Hedgehog, which will be released in 2022.
There is no more news at all about the new title, as the solitary thing Sega showed was that Sonic was running the game. The game is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
The latest games in the series include 2019’s Team Sonic Racing and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. To the extent that the games are not too far off, Sonic Colors Ultimate is coming this September, and afterward, Sonic Origins will be coming one year from now.
However, there is a more significant amount of our blue legend to anticipate than in games. The film Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is in transit alongside Sonic Prime, the 24-episode animated series hitting Netflix in 2022.
