Tales of Arise is scheduled to be published on September 10 in the West and September 9 in Japan.

Bandai Namco has announced that Tales of Arise will be releasing a demo for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in September. A free PS5 or Xbox Series X/S upgrade is included with the PS4 or Xbox One editions of the game.

The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game were announced earlier this year, but now we know we’ll get to play them much sooner. Next week, Bandai Namco will release a playable demo for PlayStation and Xbox.

Originally revealed at E3 2019 for release in 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, Tales of Arise remained dormant until last summer when it was confirmed to have been postponed. Tales fans who are curious about how the new release differs from previous editions will benefit from a demo.

Yusuke Tomizawa, the game’s producer, previously indicated that Arise’s combat will be quicker-paced than previous versions. Dodging will also be emphasized in the Berseria sequel, while the traditional skill systems will return with new improvements to them as well.

Further, Bandai Namco Studios did not create Tales of Arise on its proprietary game engine, as it had done in the previous games in the Tales series. Custom shaders guarantee that Arise’s visual aesthetic is maintained.
