SONY has suggested it is pulling PlayStation games from PC.

PlayStation might be PlayStation again, because, according to reliable reporter Jason Schreier, it is very likely Sony will pull back from porting to PC. This is especially for their single-player games.

SONY has suggested it is pulling PlayStation games from PC.On most occasions, when a PlayStation game eventually goes to PC, the sales on that platform are underwhelming.

Normally, after the release of their games, you would have at least a year before they become available on PC. This is primarily why many players do not get the game on its initial release date, and would rather wait until it reaches PC. However, now, this may become a thing of the past very soon.

On most occasions, when a PlayStation game eventually goes to PC, the sales on that platform are underwhelming.

This could be mainly due to the hype dying, especially when the game arrives years later on a different platform. Take Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 as an example. When it arrived in 2023 on PlayStation 5, it sold over 15 million copies, but when it arrived in 2025 on PC, it sold barely 700,000.

It is very clear that not enough people are buying the PC port games, and it seems like they are done trying. Insomniac’s upcoming game, Marvel’s Wolverine, coming to PC, is looking very unlikely. That game, along with future exclusives, will be playable only on the console. Which will actually be a good thing for the console moving forward.

At the same time, there is also the idea that Sony’s withdrawal from PC porting stems from the PlayStation 5 having its own identity. This generation is widely regarded as the worst in gaming history, and having all games eventually go to PC does not help prove the critics wrong. At this time, there is no reason to buy a PlayStation 5 if all of its games will end up on another platform.
