Square Enix has released a demo for their upcoming game Octopath Traveler 2, which will carry over your progress to the main game when it releases.

Square Enix has announced that a free demo for its upcoming game, Octopath Traveler 2 has been released. This was announced during the recent Nintendo Direct and was a part of the presentation for the Nintendo Switch, where it shared the spotlight with games such as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The game received only a short trailer during the presentation, where we learned about the game’s world and each of the game’s protagonists, who all have unique skills and abilities. Along with this, we also learned that Octopath Traveler 2, won’t only be released for the Nintendo Switch. The game will also be available on PC and PlayStation.

Unlike previous demos that Square Enix has released, the demo for Octopath Traveler 2 will give players an opportunity to experience the first 3 hours of the game, right from the beginning. However, players will be limited to only exploring the game’s first few starting areas until they reach the demo’s time limit, but have no fear as players’ data and progress will be carried over to the full game.

Square Enix has allowed players to experience just a small amount of arguably one of the most anticipated JRPGs of 2023. While the demo only gives players a small taste of what’s to come, players will not have to wait very long as Octopath Traveler 2 is releasing on 24 February 2023 and will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, and the Nintendo Switch.
