In the meantime, cross-play is set to launch alongside Season 15.

The spotlight will most likely be on the ‘Witch Queen’ expansion, which will be released in 2022. Destiny 2 gamers will learn more details about the future of the game, real quick. We will know more about the game and The Witch Queen’s expansion in the upcoming showcase. Luckily, Bungie is hosting a showcase on 24th August. While there isn’t any information yet, we are hoping to get as much information as we can through this showcase.

Players got some hints about what’s in store through a teaser image shared by Bungie. Savathun is known as “The Deceitful Sister” and also “Queen of Lies”. Both of which are obvious references to the “survive the truth” statement. In that shared teaser image by Bungie, there’s a sign associated with Savathun, the Hive witch queen, along with the motto “survive the truth.” Bungie has planned something huge with Savathun. It has been sowing the seeds for a greater focus on the character in recent months, following years of teasers regarding Savathun.

Players are almost sure of the rumors that The Witch Queen expansion’s major antagonist will be Savathun. Savathun was the one who was behind all the vex imposed by The Endless Night upon the Last City in Season 14. The Witch Queen was delayed to 2022 by Bungie due to the misery of COVID-19. For the benefit of the health of the crew, the studio had long considered moving its annual expansions to the first half of each year anyway. Earlier this year in February, the studio stated that more information regarding “The Witch Queen and Beyond” would be available in late summer.

On the day of the event, the current season will come to a close. Season 15 should begin shortly after that.
