Crimson Desert could become one of this gen’s biggest open-world MMORPG games.

Crimson Desert is an upcoming open-world RPG game coming at the end of this year. Pearl Abyss, the developers and publisher of the game, has revealed some details on the game, including when and what to expect from it, and how the development cycle is going. The great news is that Crimson Desert is finally done with its production. The game is in the final stages, where the developers are just polishing the title.

Recently, the developers held an Earnings Report Conference and were asked whether they would be able to release the game. In the latter half of 2023, Pearl Abyss responded, stating that the game is completely done and that they’re confident in it. But the only reason they’re holding back the launch of this game is market uncertainties.

This is mainly because we have the coveted situation. There are many lockdowns going on, and not much production is happening for the consoles, especially the PlayStation 5. Many stock issues have been going on for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, which has been one of the biggest reasons Pearl Abyss has been delaying Crimson Desert.

Youn Jaemin from Pearl Abyss has now reported that the game will be released at the end of 2023. This means that it will be released sometime during the Holidays this year, probably around November or December, since the game is already fully completed in terms of the development cycle.

This also means that the developers are only just taking their time to polish the game and give it its final touch to make the game look as good as possible. Because, as we have seen from some of the gameplay footage and trailers that have been shared, including some of the combat footage, which just looks great.

We can already imagine that an open-world RPG game of this vast scale will obviously need a lot of polishing. It will also be worked on as perfectly as possible, especially in terms of bugs and all the fixes that need to be done. Now that the developers have a lot of time, one of the biggest reasons is that the PlayStation 5 is back in the market, and we no longer have any shortage of these consoles.

This means that the next-gen games could finally start arriving, and Crimson Desert will be on the list. But we will finally see the game running on full 4k 60fps with Ray tracing on. So that is how this game will be performing on the console platforms on the next-gen consoles only.

Now, obviously, it’s not going to be released for the older generation of consoles, meaning the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One series. Pearl Abyss has confirmed that this game will support Ray tracing technology and be both a single-player and a multiplayer game.

The multiplayer will be an MMORPG where you have a massive open world. The multiplayer is going to be thoroughly cross-played between consoles and PCs. The platforms that the game is going to be released on it is going to be completely cross-platform. That is a good thing now that we have a single-player and a multiplayer game. Crimson Desert could become one of this gen’s biggest open-world MMORPG games.
