Overwatch Has Temporarily Removed Bastion and Torbjorn from Competitive Play

The problems for Overwatch 2 continue

it seems that for many, the issues with Overwatch 2 are endless. They have continuously released updates in the hope that the title may recover and become at the very least playable. However, recently, more issues have mounted for Blizzard with the canon due to Bastion and Torbjorn being removed from certain modes due to bugs in their abilities.

Torbjorn’s overload ability has a glitch that, when spammed, ensures that the character is near unkillable. A combination of a massive health boost, faster movement,t and faster fire rate that can last indefinitely ensures that you would never die… Ever. The issue surrounding the other half of this issue is another glitch surrounding their ultimate. Bastions’ ultimate allows them to have three targeting circles as they release artillery fire. The glitch, however, has allowed Bastion players to spam the targeting circles and essentially have hundreds of shots as long as Bastion is in firing mode.

Bastion has been removed from all modes of play in the game, whilst Torbjorn is still available for quick play. Banning from competitive modes makes complete sense as players will utilise anything possible to assist them during play, and with how broken these characters are, it is undeniable that they would have been taken advantage of.

These issues are simply more in a long line of problems that have scarred Overwatch 2 since its launch. Despite this, Blizzard is clearly at work to ensure that the title is fixed in the future. Overwatch 2 is available right now on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
