Arrowhead, the developer behind Helldivers 2, has revealed the full spread of PC requirements for the upcoming co-op shooter.
Arrowhead Game Studios’ highly anticipated upcoming cooperative multiplayer shooter, Helldivers 2, has had fans in a frenzy with many dying to know what the game will have in-store for them. Well, luckily for us, Sony has recently shared the full spread of PC requirements for the game, which is set to also release on both PC and PS5 sometime in early February 2024.
The first Helldivers game was released back in 2015 for the PS4 and became an instant hit for its players. The quirky sci-fi shooter featured combat that can best be described as simply nonstop chaos that constantly kept players coming back for more, paired with the game’s use of quirky sci-fi humor which pays homage to many sci-fi films such as Starship Troopers and the Aliens franchise.
In Helldivers, players play as “Super Earth” soldiers that must fight back against hordes of monstrous aliens and rogue cyborgs. Many were concerned that after a sequel was announced, Arrowhead Game Studios also confirmed that drastic style change would happen. The sequel would no longer continue the top-down “twin-stick” arcade shooter style combat and would instead be a third-person shooter.
We first learned about the PC requirements for Helldivers 2 thanks to an official PlayStation blog post made by Arrowhead Game Studios. This post would outline all the necessary PC system requirements players would have to meet if they wanted to play the game on PC. Interestingly enough, along with the PC specs, Arrowhead Game Studios also confirmed that the game would feature crossplay, this very welcomed feature would allow players on both PS5 and PC to play together in one match no matter what platform they were playing on. Not only is this beneficial to players who play on PC, but it also allows the multiplayer game to have a much larger potential pool of players to draw from.
The minimum PC spec requirements for Helldivers 2 goes as follows:

- CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
- RAM: 8GB DDR4

- Storage: 100GB HDD (7200rpm)
