Now players can battle the bad guys at home cause Team Rocket is set to make a return possible this month, with a hot air balloon.

An update from Niantic proves a previous leak accurate which suggested that Team Rocket would be returning with a balloon of some kind. A whole lot of new content for Pokémon GO players to enjoy as it’s the beginning of a new month. Developer Niantic has been teasing a new addition to the mobile Pokémon game in July. It looks like Niantic still has some surprises up its sleeve, specifically relating to Team Rocket.

For players who may not be able to get a PokéStop regularly and are stuck at home during quarantine, it will be a nice perk in line with recent additions. A reduced reliance on, free daily rewards, a daily guaranteed spawn nearby, and Remote Raid Passes going outside to play the game. They are manifesting Tuesday in the form of a hot air balloon invasion from the game’s bad guys: Team Go Rocket.

It’s unsurprising to see the team making a comeback given how tenacious they are. According to a new update from Niantic, Team Rocket appears to be making hot-air balloons, with the aim being to use them to help steal Pokémon. There’s no word on when this suspected event will start or what it will entail.

It might be safe to assume that battles with Rocket members will return while it’s entirely possible that it won’t begin until next month. The inclusion of the balloon could mean that encounters may work differently.

Pokémon fans are still excited about the new Pokémon Snap game that was announced a few weeks ago. With the original game released in 1999, the game was still missing some key members of the first set of games PokéDex, which some are hoping will be included in the sequel. Pokémon GO is available on Android and iOS devices.
