Red Wings: American Aces combine an online multiplayer and comic-book aesthetics to create an action-packed duel with a nostalgic feel.

Publisher All in! Games has confirmed the release of Red Wings: American Aces on PC and Nintendo Switch, flying high on March 31st. As you’ve already predilected from the title, it’s a biplane shooter based on their earlier in-house-built arcade game Red Wings: Aces of the Sky.

Taking place in the cockpit of a comic-book-inspired arcade shooter, Red Wings: American Aces has a variety of gameplay modes, including online multiplayer. There are 30 campaign missions accessible in local co-op for 1-2 people, each featuring a distinct aircraft skin and a varied set of options for budding aviators.

Additionally, players may take on three distinct gaming modes: Score Battle, Time Battle, and Hide n’ Seek in a fast-paced arcade-style game with brief gameplay sessions. Using a squad of five additional players in elimination mode may make all the difference in large-scale aerial fights when safety in numbers can make or break the outcome.

“Red Wings: American Aces honors the older arcade classics but adds a modern twist allowing for online multiplayer – the first arcade aerial shooter to do that! ” said Norman Lenda, Development Director. “We wanted to pile on the fun factor in a big entertaining way rather than creating something locked into historical accuracy. There’s plenty of different planes and modes to choose from so each play session offers a new experience.”

Red Wings: American Aces puts players in the driver’s seat of an exhilarating arcade shooter with a variety of game modes and artwork inspired by bright comic books. With up to nine other players, players can take on the challenge of competing in Last Man Standing or Time Battle modes; or can also form a team of up to five pilots and take on the challenge of competing in Elimination, Time Team Battle, or Score Team Battle modes.

Players can join friends to compete against each other in a variety of multiplayer modes like Hide n’ Seek, Score Battle, and Time Battle. either by themselves or against a computer opponent. While playing, they get to discover a variety of surprises as they complete 30 missions in campaign mode reenacting aerial dogfights from World War I.

Pilot skill development and point rearranging according to the objective at hand should be a priority as players go through the pilot progression skill tree. Each of the 15 aircraft has a distinctive skin, so you’ll be able to fly them all. Some thunderstorms blast skill cooldowns, sandstorms that restrict visibility, missions where players will only be able to take out adversaries with barrel rolls, and more!

Red Wings: American Aces is currently available for pre-order until March 31st with a 20% discount on Steam and Nintendo Switch. Visit GamesCreed’s gaming news section for the latest updates on this action-packed dogfight game by All in! Games.
