Capcom announced a dedicated Resident Evil Showcase scheduled for January 15 with a brief runtime. Requiem possibly revealing more updates.

Capcom has officially announced a new Resident Evil Showcase tomorrow. Fans of the long-running horror series are very excited about this. The show will happen on January 15 at 2:00 P.M. PT and 10:00 P.M. GMT, and you can watch it live on the official Resident Evil feeds.

Although the preview is likely to last only 12 to 13 minutes, it appears to be significant as the next big game in the series approaches release. New gameplay footage from Resident Evil Requiem is likely to be the big draw. Up until now, Capcom has been pretty careful with raw gameplay, especially in Leon.

Many players have been waiting to see more hands-on examples of how the game actually plays, especially with one of the franchise’s most famous characters, Grace. Some of her videos have already been shown. Since the game is almost out, it makes sense that Capcom would finally start showing more in-depth action.

Capcom wants the community involved in this showcase, so creators have been told to co-stream the event and share their reactions.

That approach shows you trust what will be shown, even if the period is short. More and more often, short showcases focus on just one or two important topics rather than making too many promises and losing people’s attention.

People are also interested in how Capcom announced it, especially the use of the word “games” rather than a single title. As you might expect, this has led to some guessing. But aspirations should remain grounded in reality. It’s much more possible that this phrase means more advertising for existing Resident Evil games than it does for a brand-new project.

Capcom has used showcases in the past to showcase continued support, re-releases, or updates to the availability of older games. You could expect to hear about games like Resident Evil Village through subscription services or see new ads for remakes of games like Resident Evil 4 or Resident Evil 2.

These reminders are common in brand-focused presentations. They help keep older titles in the spotlight alongside the newest ones. However, Resident Evil Requiem remains the main topic.

Fans are getting increasingly excited and want to know more about the game’s tone, pace, and style of play.

It would be much easier to understand the experience Capcom is offering this time if we saw more gameplay, especially longer sequences or battles. You can tell that people are excited not just about the show, but also about figuring out how Requiem fits into the series’ changing character.

Even though it’s not likely that a new Resident Evil game will be announced at this event, it still feels important. Capcom is usually very careful about what it says, and giving Resident Evil Requiem a full showcase, even if it’s only a short one, shows that it’s hitting a key stage in its marketing cycle.

If you’re a fan, this is one of those times you should watch live. The showcase will give a better picture of what’s to come, even if it’s short. We are approaching the point where rumors give way to real footage, which often changes the whole topic. As the days go by, people are getting more and more excited about Resident Evil Requiem. Tomorrow’s showing should give us a lot to talk about.
