With the popularity of Resident Evil 4 Remake it only makes sense that the Separate Ways DLC is well on its way, could these new achievements be the proof we need?

With the fantastic reception of the Resident Evil 4 Remake, it is no wonder fresh content is rumoured to be on the way so soon after the release. A DLC was already released just 2 weeks after the initial release of that game. The Mercenaries event, which was in this DLC, is part of a long-running Resident Evil tradition. Most games in the franchise contain a Mercenaries mode, which is a PVE horde mode style event, so the Resident Evil 4 Remake, following in this tradition,n could be a sign of how future DLCs of the games will follow.

Along with the Mercenaries, the original Resident Evil 4 had a game mode called Separate Ways, which features Ada Wong’s story as she travels through the story of Resident Evil 4. The game mode shows the ways Ada was helping Leon behind the scenes as he made his way through the village and castle sections before he even knew she was there with her. In the original, this included Ada leaving Leon the shotgun during the village fight and assisting with the Village Chief if Leon chooses to re-enter the room he is in.

It has been assumed for a long time that Separate Ways would be making an appearance in the remake, as it was one of the most exciting parts of the original game. The Resident Evil 4 Remake is also missing some key elements from the original, such as the second Verdugo boss fight. Many fans have speculated that this is so the fight can be saved for Ada’s story should Separate Ways be included as DLC. So far, however, this has all been speculation and rumours with nothing yet confirmed by Capcom.

In the past week, it seems our prayers have been answered as an update to Resident Evil 4 Remake that added seven new achievements to the roster. These are currently all hidden behind random letters and numbers without descriptions. Hopes from the fans are that these will be the achievements for Ada’s story, and that Separate Ways will be here soon.
