The new DLC for Resident Evil: Village contains a great deal, from third-person mode to a brand-new story and more.

Resident Evil Village was released in 2021 to critical acclaim. Fans of the titular series from across the globe praised the title for its horror, the complexity of its story and characters, and its willingness to approach some of the more bizarre elements found in the stories of this incredibly popular franchise.

At TGS 2022, Capcom unveiled a lot of new details regarding the future of Resident Evil, including details surrounding the highly anticipated Resident Evil 4 Remake and how it will be coming to PlayStation 4 as well as current-gen consoles. However, most of the information regarding Resident Evil Village and the new content was revealed in a trailer:

The trailer shows off how the game now looks, with its brand new third-person mode allowing players to experience the already incredible game in a completely new form. The game looks so different, harkening back to the old days of Resident Evil, which fans will no doubt enjoy.

Moreover, the video also details the new DLC Shadows of Rose, where you play as Ethan Winters’ daughter 16 years after the main game events. The latest DLC allows players to utilize Roses’ unique powers while battling against enemies that can kill you in ‘one hit,’ as it were. The new DLC looks fun and challenging, and players should be excited about what this new content will bring to the universe.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition drops on 28th October 2022 with the three new pieces of content mentioned above. Have you already played this title? If so, is the game worth picking up again, considering the latest additions? Comment your thoughts below.
