‘Rocket League’ Will Go Free-To-Play On September 23rd

Current players will get their Legacy things tomorrow.

Psynonix declared a few months back that it’d make Rocket League allowed to play, and we finally know when it’ll do the switch. It won’t cost you a dime to play beginning September 23rd.

There’s one proviso in case you’re hoping to play it on Xbox One, however. You’ll require Xbox Live Gold to get to online multiplayer on that stage, however, Switch and PS4 gamers won’t need a Switch Online or PlayStation Plus membership to play with their companions. In the course of the most recent few months, Psyonix has been clarifying how different parts of the allowed-to-play change will work, including cross-stage movement. T

there’ll be an update for existing players tomorrow (September sixteenth) that will permit them to interface the game to an Epic Games account. When you’ve done as such, you can get to the Rocket League things you’ve opened over all stages.

The individuals who effectively own the game will likewise get Legacy things tomorrow, and the update incorporates different increments and personal satisfaction changes. When Rocket League goes free-to-play next week, it’ll debut on the Epic Games Store. If you claim the game thereby October 23rd, you’ll get a $10 coupon you can put towards any game or add-on in the store, as long as it costs at least $14.99. If you download Rocket League from the Epic Store, you’ll also get a couple of bonus cosmetic items when you fire it up for the first time.

It appears there’s a Fortnite-related in-game event in the works too. Psyonix said it’ll soon reveal more details about a Llama-Rama event, which will start soon after the free-to-play move.
