Private eye Xiang Zixu has a lot ahead of him in Loopmancer, especially since he can’t seem to die.
Cyberpunk is always a good theme to go with. But what if you were a cybernetic Loopmancer? What if the uncontrollable ability to resurrect was thrown into the mix? That’s what happens to investigator Zixu. In this dystopian cyberpunk world of mystery, the private investigator must determine who killed him and why he won’t stop coming back. From eBrain Studio and Xu comes a mind-bending side-scrolling adventure.
After a particularly intense search for a missing journalist, Zixu’s life is ended by an unknown assailant. But with the power of resurrection, the investigator’s original task may not be so hard to accomplish. There are many places to explore in Xiang, such as the nightly holiday-themed Dragon Town, the upper-class Tang Dynasty Hotel, or the Training Base for Bionic Beings.
Thanks to the cycle Xiang Zixu is stuck in, he’ll be able to hone his skills and develop the ability to wield new weapons. Over 100 weapons are at the player’s disposal. There will also be opportunities to change up skills using prosthetic limb chips.
Loopmancer is now available on Steam for a 10% discount at $22.49 till July 20, when the price returns to $24.99.
