Death is not the end in Scarlet Salvation, no matter what.

Scarlet Salvation is a third-person shooter developed by Neilo. It’s a bullet-hell dungeon crawler with randomly generated enemies. Compile Heart, the publisher of the game has launched a new Japanese trailer featuring the May 29th release. The trailer depicts Willo fighting mechanical weapons while wearing a mask with the number “00001” over her face.

Hiroshi Aoki—known for his work on Rune Factory 5, is reportedly leading the development of Scarred Salvation. An earlier game of Hiroshi’s Global Champion (known as Kaiser Knuckle in Japan) likewise turned out to be rather challenging. Even though it’s challenging, Scarlet Salvation has been tweaked so that even a beginner won’t have any trouble controlling the game.

The story of Scarlet Salvation resolves around a female protagonist, Willo Martin, who finds herself in an unfamiliar room upon waking up. She doesn’t remember anything and doesn’t know her purpose for being here. Even worse, she can’t identify herself. How did she get here?

Scarlet Salvation

As Willo faces off against mechanized enemies, what dangers lie ahead? She doesn’t know whether the AI that advises her sees her as a friend or foe. Despite her amnesia, Willo recognizes her remarkable fighting skills and her will to survive the battles ahead. Willo Martin is played by Fairouz Ai, and the AI character is voiced by Junichi Suwabe.

Scarlet Salvation is set to be a really challenging game, and even seasoned players will have trouble. You’ll take part in an exciting first-person shooter where you’ll defend the protagonist, Willo, against waves of enemies armed with mechanical weaponry. You have to move swiftly to evade the enemy’s hail of gunfire and then land the fatal strike. You lose your weapon when Willo falls, so you’ll have to gather formidable weapons, dodge the intense gunfire that starts at the beginning of the game, and fight back.

With her ten weapons at her disposal, Willo can unleash a slew of spectacular futuristic weapons similar to Returnal. The selection of weapons is the most important factor in determining success. Moreover, these weapon types are upgradeable. Your weaponry and levels are lost upon death, but an enigmatic number appears on Willo’s face and increases.

There is a machine adversary with weapons. You can assault the enemies with precision by shooting down their fleet of mechanical weapons. You’ll have to find a way to avoid being struck by the enemies’ varied attack strategies. The more you progress, the more powerful the enemy becomes. Willo has two different abilities: Mirage Shift and Striker.

Using the Mirage Shift skill, you may teleport Willo to a short distance to avoid incoming attacks, and it also helps to jump higher or cover small distances quickly. Striker ability is more of a weapon attached to her armor’s fist part. As soon as it’s activated, it strikes the target, doing damage in the process. Although it inflicts heavy damage to the enemy, close-quarters combat in Scarlet Salvation can be deadly.

Scarlet Salvation will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in the near future. Scarlet Salvation is set to be released in Japan on May 29th and will cost JP¥8,580. There will also be a Special Edition for JP¥12,980.
