And it’s being “built for next-generation experience”

Activision has uncovered that Sledgehammer Games is driving advancement on the mainline Call of Duty 2021 portion, affirming ongoing reports.

The news was reported during Activision’s Q1 income call, where the organization affirmed various subtleties we previously suspected to be valid: there is another “premium” Call of Duty game coming out this year, it’ll affect Call of Duty Warzone, and lastly, Sledgehammer Games is without a doubt the developer.

“We are very excited for this year’s premium Call of Duty release,” Activision president Dan Alegre said. “Development is being led by Sledgehammer Games. The game is looking great and on track for its Fall [2021] release.”

Alegre added that Call of Duty 2021 is a “built for next-generation experience” that will ”integrate with and enhance the existing COD ecosystem.” Call of Duty Warzone took on a great deal of Black Ops Cold War components back in December, and it’s feasible the next Call of Duty will incorporate with the fight royale to a comparable degree.

The studio recently created Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Call of Duty: WWII, co-created Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and assisted with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War.

Sledgehammer Games accepted the open door to share its large news when Activision broke the seal.
