PlayStation’s latest showcase delivers a flurry of surprises, long-awaited updates, and new gameplay reveals—here are the 10 biggest highlights you need to know.
The most recent PlayStation State of Play presentation is over, and it didn’t hold back. There were lots of surprises at the showcase, like gameplay demos and long-awaited release dates for some of the most anticipated games in the whole business.
There was something for everyone at this State of Play event, whether you like scary survival games, stealth games, or fast-paced boss fights. Here are ten of the most interesting parts of the presentation.

1. Pragmata
After years of silence and delays, Capcom’s mysterious sci-fi action game Pragmata has come back with a new trailer confirming that it will come out in 2026. The video starts with a creepy ad for a made-up AI company called Deli Corporation. Then, it jumps into the company’s dystopian world, where dreams and reality seem to mix.
We also get our first real look at how the game is played, with the main character and his partner Diana fighting together in a tense battle. Enemies have weak spots that make battles more tactical. Pragmata will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S when it comes out.

2. Luminous Arise
The company that made Tetris Effect is back with Luminous Arise, the next game in the popular puzzle series. Since Tetsuya Mizuguchi is coming back, you can expect weird graphics, happy music, and fun ways to clear blocks.
When the game comes out this fall for PS5, it will also work with PlayStation VR2, so you can get lost in the pulsing lights and rhythmic gameplay. Since Luminous Puzzle & Music in 2016, this is the most recent game in the series to come back.

3. 007: First Light
IO Interactive’s first James Bond game, 007: First Light, is coming out earlier than planned. The game tells the story of how James Bond got to be James Bond. Bond sneaks around, scans his surroundings, fights with his bare hands, and uses guns in a way that clearly reflects IO’s Hitman DNA.
The PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and even the Nintendo Switch 2 will get it. Later this summer, more gameplay footage will be released.

4. Ghost of Yōtei
Sucker Punch released yet another teaser for Ghost of Yōtei, which comes after Ghost of Tsushima. The new teaser shows us the new main character, Atsu, and her wolf friend. The story takes place many years after Jin Sakai’s saga.
Not much was said about the story or gameplay, but the studio did announce a deep dive event in July, where we could learn more about this spiritual follow-up.

5. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Konami made more than just scary games. They also released a full gameplay trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which is a remake of the famous Metal Gear Solid 3.
The game was made in Unreal Engine 5, and it keeps the classic story while updating the controls by adding a compass, an over-the-shoulder camera, and quick item dials. It even makes a reference to the original Ape Escape crossover. It also hints at Metal Gear Online coming back and an Octa-Camo system.

6. Nioh 3
Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo finally showed off the long-awaited follow-up Nioh 3, which looks like it will be full of fast-paced action and brutal battles. The new game has a bigger world for players to explore and a Ninja-style that makes it easier to move around and attack without being seen.
The full game won’t come out until early 2026, but there is already a free PS5 demo for those who want to see how good they are.

7. Silent Hill F
Konami has finally confirmed that the long-awaited Silent Hill F will come out on September 25. You can already place an order for it. The new trailer shows Hinako, a high school student, and her friends being engulfed by fog and horrible hallucinations.
The game takes place in Japan in the 1960s and is meant to be played on its own, so even if you haven’t played any of the others in the series, this one should be easy for you to get into. Coming out on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.

8. Astrobot
On July 10, Team Asobi’s cute platformer, Astrobot, will receive new free content. There will be five new levels added to the game: Twin Frog Trouble, Suck It Up, Handhold Havoc, High Inflation, and a mysterious bonus stage.
With a cameo from Atsu from Ghost of Yōtei, each stage has its own unique bot. Astrobot now has more than 90 levels, and it doesn’t look like it will slow down anytime soon.

9. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls
The new Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls game from Arc System Works brings the company’s unique style to the world of Marvel. This 4-on-4 tag fighter has characters like Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Storm, and Ms. Marvel, as well as fast-paced aerial combos and help systems.
As usual for ArcSys, it’s full of fast-paced action and stylized animation. The game comes out in 2026 for PS5 and PC through Steam and Epic Games Store.

10. Thief VR: The Shadow of Death
The cult classic Thief series is coming back in a way that no one expected: VR. Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow is the name of the game’s new character, Magpie, who is a thief who has to find his way around a dark city while also learning secrets about the original trilogy.
It tries to fully immerse you in its stealthy world by letting you move around on rooftops, steal things, and plan creative heists. PSVR2, PC VR, and Meta Quest 2/3/3S will get it later this year.
