From gritty crime dramas and atmospheric horror to explosive open-world chaos — all at unbeatable prices available on Steam.

Steam has launched one of the most impressive summer sales, offering titles for as low as $3. The game ranges from the most beautiful RPG game to horror games that will keep you awake at night. This is everything you need to know.

The first game is one of my favorites, Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition, now available for only $2.99, a huge 85% off. It’s been my goal to play this game with as many people as possible because it’s so good. Some people have called it “GTA in Hong Kong,” but Sleeping Dogs is its own beast, with a dark story, great hand-to-hand combat, a great soundtrack, and a world that really draws you in.

That being said, it’s not quite as good as Red Dead or Resident Evil 4, but it’s still a must-play. It also comes with all the DLC, so you’re getting a lot for your money. Little Nightmares II is a great deal at just $2.99, which is 90% off the original price. If you like scary movies, you should get it.

Since Little Nightmares 3 is coming out soon (and, as a fun fact, is being developed by a different studio), this discount is a smart way to attract new players to the series’ creepy atmosphere and stories. You can’t get the first game on sale, but you can start the scary sequel right away. It’s still getting great reviews for its creepy graphics and suspense.

Steins;Gate is a great story about time travel, and it’s currently available for just $2.99. Whether you’re coming from the anime or the visual novel, this story will blow your mind and connect with you on an emotional level. With all the different paths, it can be a little scary, but the dive is well worth it.

When it comes to action games, Blasphemous is now available for only $2.49 and features brutal hack-and-slash action set in a dark, nightmare world. If you like classic-style fights and brutal killings, this is the game for you.

Bastion is only $2.99—a classic game from Supergiant Games with a unique way of telling stories and beautiful art. Even though it doesn’t have the newest gameplay in 2025, it’s still a great time, especially for people who loved their other big hits like Hades.

XCOM 2 is now available for $2.99 for those who enjoy tactical games. The full collection, including all expansions, is a bit more expensive, but the base game still offers a lot of strategy and intense squad combat. Just know that the publisher has been in some trouble lately, so read those reviews first.

For $2.99, Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition is a heartfelt management game that takes you on a journey to the afterlife with ghosts. It’s a cozy and emotional journey that has gotten a lot of good reviews.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition is also available for $2.99 and is ideal for RPG fans. It’s a good follow-up to the famous series, with a tighter plot and fun gameplay. It’s perfect for people who want to learn more before starting Witcher 3 or while they wait for the remake of Witcher 1.

Now let’s talk about some other great deals that cost less than $3:

If you like blood, guts, and co-op killing, Killing Floor 2 is a great $2.99 game for you. It can be played over and over, and it’s really fun if you can get some friends to play with you. With Killing Floor 3 coming out soon (though the release date is still uncertain), this classic is a must-have.

Need pure, crazy fun? For $2.99, Just Cause 3 is a great game that lets you blow things up and cause chaos in a beautiful, open world. However, don’t expect a complex or in-depth story. If you want to relax with explosions and crazy stunts, Just Cause 3 is the game for you.

Fans of car combat will also enjoy Mad Max, which costs $2.99 and has fun car battles and a surprisingly good story. Additionally, even older hardware works well with it, allowing anyone to join in.

As a quick and bloody thrill, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is a great choice for just $2.24. The game is brutal and fast-paced, making it perfect for sessions that require a rush.

Like to go on adventures? Tomb Raider (2013) costs $2.24 and is a good, shorter reboot of Lara Croft’s story. It’s short enough to finish on a weekend and is full of action and exploration.

More guts and blood with style? Shadow Warrior 2 costs $2.99 and features rough, bloody fighting combined with humorous action.

Finally, Broforce, the pixelated explosion of freedom, costs $2.99 and gets great reviews for its crazy run-and-gun action.
