The traditional fighting game experience gets a complete makeover in Street Fighter 6.

The newest competitor to take on Capcom has arrived! Since the first game in the Street Fighter series was released 35 years ago, more than 47 million copies have been sold globally. Street Fighter 6, which will be released all over the globe in 2023, will symbolize the subsequent development of the Street Fighter series.

The RE Engine was used to develop Street Fighter 6, and the game features not one but three brand-new game modes: Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub. In addition to this, new gameplay elements are introduced, and the aesthetics in every part of the game have been upgraded. Street Fighter 6 caters to both longtime and newcomers to the series by providing an unprecedented number of different gameplay options.

Street Fighter 6 packs a powerful punch of new features and improvements for fighting games, including the following:

  • New Basic Game Modes, The Street Fighter series continues to enhance itself and revolutionize the Fighting Game genre by introducing three new fundamental game modes: Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub.
  • In-game Commentary: The Real-Time Commentary Feature integrates the voices of well-known Fighting Game Community (FGC) commentators directly into the game. These commentators include Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez and Ryutaro “Aru” Noda. Players have the options to choose from a variety of different personalities that provide live commentary on matches and explain the action in a way that is simple to grasp. In addition, this function offers subtitles in 13 other languages, making it more accessible.
  • The original controls have been brought back, and a new control type has also been added. The modern control type enables players to begin playing straight away with streamlined inputs, and the original controls have also been brought back. Making use of Special Moves is made simpler with the addition of a single push button and a direct input.
  • The new fighting mechanics in Street Fighter 6 include the Drive System, which is a new bar that utilizes five distinct methods to improve a player’s offensive and defensive skills. These techniques are as follows: Drive Impact, Drive Parry, Overdrive Art, Drive Rush, and Driver Reversal are all Drive moves. Drive Rush is also a Drive move.

In addition to the newly implemented gameplay innovations, Street Fighter 6 also celebrates what fans love about the franchise by bringing together various modes from previous titles in the game’s Fighting Ground mode. These modes include Arcade Mode, Online Matches, Training Mode, local versus combat, and a number of other modes. The player may pick from a broad array of combat techniques and talents to master, including legendary World Warriors such as Ryu and Chun-Li, the newest addition from Street FighterTM V Luke, and our new breakdancing expert Jamie.

Players can also choose from a vast number of characters to play as. Later on in the year, we will be disclosing more information on which more fighters will be accessible to use as playable characters, and we cannot wait to share this news with you.

Capcom is getting closer to the release of Street Fighter 6, and they have a lot more information to reveal regarding the World Tour and the Battle Hub. For the time being, we are able to reveal that World Tour is a single-player narrative mode that pushes the limits of what it means for a video game to be a fighting game and gives the opportunity to leave their own stamp on the world of fighting with their own avatar.

The Battle Hub has only been revealed in a short glimpse thus far, but it provides players with new and exciting methods to engage, connect, and interact with one another.

The latest installment of the Street Fighter series, Street Fighter 6, will be available on the PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stay tuned to GamesCreed’s gaming news section for the latest update on this title.
