Jawbreaker, A Survival Horror Stealth Explodes With Its Demo Release

Jawbreaker’s Demo hit 20,000+ downloads on Steam and Itch.io and even more so in views.

Jawbreaker is a game developed by Vincent Lade, a solo game developer who started coding, designing, and writing video games back in 2018. Just like the prior release, this solo developer makes a game from short stories he has written over time which inspired his prior releases like Witching Hour, Deathbloom Chapters 1 and 2, The Swine, and Harthorn. Jawbreaker is a single-player, first-person, survival horror game with aspects of stealth throughout the game.

Taking place after the great economic collapse of 2028 in the United States and the mysterious “Awakening”, the only thing that matters is to stay alive and not to get your face “peeled off”. The game will have you hiding and utilizing stealth mechanics, running in a Dystopian vision of the United States, and fighting in a horrifyingly gang-run society on the verge of collapsing itself. Although, as if having to fight for your life wasn’t hard enough, when the sun goes down, the real parade of fear begins.

The game offers quite a range of features to make use of, such as searching for weapons for self-defense, throwing mechanics to distract your enemies, more than a few places to hide, interactive environments to encourage players to loot for supplies, multiple endings and so much more to explore similar to the upcoming Dead Island 2.

Even though the demo was just released on Steam and Itch.io, the game has been taken in by horror fans all over, with the download estimate sitting on 20,000+ downloads and 2,000,000 views on Youtube by fans of the horror genre and loyal fans of Vincent Lade with their reactions being pure excitement.

Alongside the impressive downloads and views of the demo, it will also be participating in the next Steam Fest, which will be taking place in June from the 19th to the 26th. Registrations are open for booking to take part in the event on the Steamworks Development event page. The Jawbreaker demo is available now on Steam, Itch.io and will soon be available on Epic Games
