Nintendo presents Kururin Paradise as a first-time North American release, although its English-language options remain unclear.
Nintendo has added three additional Game Boy Advance games to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. The latest update adds Monster Rancher Advance, Metal Slug Advance, and Kururin Paradise, giving users even more retro gaming to enjoy. For many retro-gaming fans, Metal Slug Advance will be the highlight.
A run-and-gun, side-scrolling game that will bring nostalgic feelings for fans of old-school action platforms. Its unique art style and images are reminiscent of Sega Genesis titles such as Gunstar Heroes. Meanwhile, Monster Rancher Advance adds another familiar game to the mix, and Kururin Paradise is special in that it is being launched in North America for the first time.
The game had never been released in the region before; therefore, its debut gave gamers an opportunity to try something new from the Game Boy Advance library. However, concerns about the language choices made in Kururin Paradise remain. There are some parts in the film that use Japanese characters, but the key words in the film, like "record," are in English.
Nintendo has not announced if the game will be fully localized or if an English-language option will be available. It’s wonderful news for customers who prefer to dig into past releases that there are games available now that were not available before. Bringing games to new regions is a way for players to discover games they would not have known existed.

Improved localization could make these releases more accessible, especially in the areas of navigating menus and following in-game instructions. The upgrade has prompted conjecture as to what Nintendo would deliver next. The Expansion Pack keeps getting more games, but customers on the normal Nintendo Switch Online tier are still waiting on more Game Boy, NES, and SNES titles.

The Nintendo release schedule has been a bit of a rollercoaster, but the latest updates have brought a number of useful improvements. Early September saw the arrival of Ninja Gaiden 3 and Ari Warriors and eventually Donkey Kong 64 for the Nintendo 64 library. Nintendo has also kept building on its GameCube catalog, offering fans more incentive to revisit old games.
Many expected games are still missing from these additions. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 64 is one such example, with fans left wondering when Nintendo will bring the popular fighting game to the service. More Nintendo oldies are on the way before the end of 2026.
If Nintendo keeps pumping out content at the same rate, the service could be more interesting in the later months of 2026. October and the holiday season used to provide opportunities for themed add-ons, such as horror games for Halloween and winter sports titles for Christmas.
These periodic drops could provide Nintendo another way to keep its classic libraries interesting, but no new titles have been revealed for the coming weeks. With the range of platforms now featured on the site, a regular updating schedule would provide subscribers a reason to recognize the value in their subscription.
In the meanwhile, the three new Game Boy Advance titles are a nice addition, particularly for fans of Metal Slug Advance. It’s unclear if new titles will be released for the standard membership tier or more long-awaited oldies from Nintendo.
