Microïds and What The Prod are currently hard at work on an animated series that will be based on the Syberia franchise!

Microïds and What The Prod have brought some breaking news to the attention of Syberia series fans. The captivating tale Benoit Sokal conceived and brought to life will soon be transformed into an animated series.

What The Prod is a well-respected production firm in the world of animation, and they are presently working on the upcoming full-length feature film, “The Magnificent Life of Marcel Pagnol,” which is a biopic about the life of Marcel Pagnol. Sylvain Chomet is the director of “The Triplets of Belleville,” and What The Prod is currently working on the film.

The rights to adapt the Syberia franchise into an animated series have been bought by What The Prod. Since the very first episode of Syberia was broadcast more than twenty years ago, the franchise’s unique universe has grown to the point where it is now considered legendary. All those who are passionate about adventure were able to be won over by Syberia due to its deep tale, iconic characters, and unique atmosphere.

At the intersection between Benoit Sokal’s fantasies and the actual world, they will meet up again with fascinating people such as Kate Walker, Oscar, the Youkols, and many more, and they will share incredible experiences.

From Western Europe to Eastern Russia, Kate Walker, a young and ambitious lawyer from New York, leads us on a voyage that is unlike any other we have ever been on. Dive into this alternative past and find yourself in legendary regions full of great quests and incredible personalities.

The Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Microïds, Elliot Grassiano, expressed his excitement about this potentially fruitful partnership, saying, “It’s a tremendous pleasure to watch Syberia coming to life in an animated style. We are thrilled about our collaboration with What The Prod to provide Syberia fans with an amazing visual experience that does justice to the spirit of this illustrious game. This series will be a new opportunity for gamers as well as new fans to discover or rediscover Syberia’s fascinating world.”

Martine Sokal and her children, Hugo and Jules, the keepers of Benoit Sokal’s artistic legacy, also express their approval and pride concerning this adaptation. “It would have surely been a source of great pride for my late husband to see his work adapted into an animated series. With Syberia, he built a fantastic universe that existed beyond time, and I’m delighted that it will reach a new audience thanks to this new version.”
