The Callisto Protocol is a sci-fi survival horror game from the creators of Dead Space stars Josh Duhamel and Karen Fukuhara.

Striking Distance Studios and KRAFTON will release The Callisto Protocol, a sci-fi survival horror game, on December 2, 2022. The Callisto Protocol is based on a team of industry veterans led by legendary game director Glen Schofield. It is a new take on survival horror that blends violent gameplay with an emotionally compelling narrative set in a scary sci-fi universe.

The Callisto Protocol, set in the year 2320 on Jupiter’s dead moon Callisto, asks players to escape the high-security Black Iron Prison and learn the dark secrets of the United Jupiter Company. To escape the mysterious epidemic that has left Callisto in shambles, players will have to scour their surroundings and adjust their tactics, employing a unique combination of shooting and close-quarters fighting.

Josh Duhamel, a cargo ship pilot, portrays Jacob Lee in the game, while The Boys actor Karen Fukuhara plays a fascinating fellow convict. Later this year, we’ll learn more about the game’s characters and plot.

According to Striking Distance Studios CEO Glen Schofield, “There’s nothing more fulfilling as a game director than sending gamers on a harrowing experience that lingers with them long after putting the controller down. My enthusiasm for survival horror games spans decades, and I’m looking forward to using the newest platforms to further push the genre when The Callisto Protocol is released later this year.”

Striking Distance Studios is building the Callisto Protocol using “Horror Engineering.” The studio’s Callisto and Black Iron Prison survival horror games feature atmospheric tension, human compassion, and despair, which create memorable shocks.

“We are excited to share The Callisto Protocol with the public later this year thanks to the expertise of Striking Distance Studios,” stated C.H. Kim, CEO of KRAFTON, in a statement. “Our flagship development team in the Western hemisphere is Striking Distance Studios, a KRAFTON company that empowers teams to create exceptional experiences at the convergence of art, design, and technology.”
