The DioField Chronicle its first step as a spiritual sibling to the Final Fantasy franchise.

SQUARE ENIX has joined forces with developer Lancarse Ltd to produce The DioField Chronicle. And fortunately, for many fans of the RPG genre, the game will release on multiple platforms. Gamers can expect to see it on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch in the latter half of the year.

The kingdom of Alletian has experienced peace for hundreds of years. People of the country experience a prosperity that many in the region do not. But peace is something that rarely ever lasts. Such was commonplace in the medieval times. Regional powers have began military campaigns against others they seek to opress. And with the rise of Modern Magic, the likelihood of a bright future look slim. And what could they possibly have that other countries might want? They are rich in the mineral jade, an important ingredient in fueling sorcery.

The DioField Chronicle uses what’s known as a ‘Real-time Tactical Battle’ system. And it forces players to rely heavily on strategy. To add to the ease of coordinating your forces, the game uses a diorama-style perspective. So be prepared for a surprising look to the game. Subscribe to the game’s social channels to be informed as soon as it’s released.
