‘The Last Campfire’ From Hello Games Hits Consoles, IOS And PC Tomorrow

Prepare to play a more close-to-home task from the developer of ‘No Man’s Sky.’

First revealed at the end of 2018, The Last Campfire remains mysterious. An appearance during March’s Nintendo Indie World stream portrayed a dreamlike dreamland setting, where stage puzzle-tackling seemed, by all accounts, to be the core gameplay. The next game from No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games, The Last Campfire, launches on Thursday, Aug. 27.

Past a Nintendo independent grandstand, we haven’t seen a significant part of the title following its declaration in 2018. Be that as it may, in a post over on the PlayStation blog, Hello Games fellow benefactor Sean Murray gives two or three insights on what we can anticipate. “It’s a game about misfortune, expectation, and compassion,” he said. “You play as Ember, a lost soul in an enchanting yet dull world. On your way, you discover others like you, some of whom have lost their direction and turned miserable.” Exploration and puzzle-solving will play a significant part in The Last Campfire’s gameplay, with Murray noting that the game can be surprisingly challenging at times.

However, if puzzles aren’t your thing, don’t worry; it also includes an exploration mode that will allow you to take in the world at your own pace. But it seems the main thing to expect is a more personal and handcrafted experience than the sprawling No Man’s Sky. That’s something we can get behind.

This game has been a passion project for a couple of the teams here for the last few years, and they are so excited to finally let everyone play. The Last Campfire will be available on Apple Arcade, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows — where it’ll be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
