RoboCop: Rogue City, which is based on the first three RoboCop films, has been announced as a new RoboCop video game by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and NACON publisher.
Currently, it is planned to release for PC platforms and unspecified consoles in 2023. RoboCop: Rogue City is a first-person shooter that is currently being developed by Teyon, the developer behind 2019’s Terminator: Resistance. It will have a fresh story in which gamers will play as Alex Murphy, according to the announcement. Alongside this announcement, a teaser trailer was also released, which hints at what to expect but doesn’t give too much away.
Earlier this year, the “improved” version was released and got just a 61 on Metacritic. Though the PC version has gotten the highest average score across all platforms. It’s worth remembering that the developer’s most well-known video game was middling at best. You can’t indicate how RoboCop: Rogue City will turn out, as previous work doesn’t always define that.
“We’re very much looking forward to collaborating with NACON and Teyon to bring one of MGM’s most timeless IPs back to gaming platforms with a brand-new story,” as part of the statement, MGM’s Executive Vice President Global Consumer Products and Experiences, Robert Marick, remarked. “We’re delighted to be teaming up with MGM to offer a new vision of a popular franchise that was created over 30 years ago,” as part of the same announcement, Alain Falc, CEO of NACON, stated.
Developed by Teyon and published by NACON, RoboCop: Rogue City is currently intended to release in 2023 for unspecified consoles and PC platforms.
