The reference to an updated TimeSplitters 2 is ‘just an innocent Easter egg.’
You may have heard as of late that a TimeSplitters 2 redo is underway, gossip prodded by a reference to the game in THQ Nordic’s methodology RPG Spellforce 3: Fallen God. “It’s at long last coming!” the thing portrayal for a TimeSplitters 2 box states. “The famous shooter, which has crossed chance to arrive at the time of current games.”
It was an energizing bother—the acclaimed TimeSplitters 2 was delivered in 2002 for the Gamecube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox, yet has never come to PC—and an entirely convincing one: Koch Media, which gained Timesplitters in 2018, is claimed by THQ Nordic, as is unique engineer Free Radical Design, even though it’s currently known as Dambuster Studios.
The merchant likewise sells things alluding to “dropped” BioMutant and Gothic games, as per the site, neither of which have been dropped. Sadly, it would appear that the entire thing is a distraction. “This is only a blameless Easter egg,” a THQ Nordic rep said. “The merchant in the game is a character known particularly for not coming clean.”
None of that is to state that TimeSplitters 2 won’t, in the end, come to PC, particularly given THQ Nordic’s liking for restoring old games. Yet, sad to report, it doesn’t give the idea that a genuine declaration of a bound-for-PC change will happen at any point in the near future.
