Tom Clancy’s XDefiant is a fast-paced arena shooter game from Ubisoft San Francisco. It is a free-to-play, first-person shooter game. After being teased for the last 24 hours, Ubisoft announced the most recent game in the Tom Clancy series: Tom Clancy’s XDefiant.

Different types of Tom Clancy properties always crash in the game. The arena shooter will take some characters from The Division, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon to create a furious, serious climate. XDefiant is intended to be a live service game, and Ubisoft has focused on supporting the game after launch and providing much more content as time passes.

From what we can observe from different trailers and spilled materials, the game has all the earmarks of being the latest name of the BattleCat project that was released last month.

Players will be able to play this set of characters:

  • Echelon – Inspired by Splinter Cell
  • Cleaners – Inspired by The Division
  • Wolves – Inspired by Ghost Recon
  • Outcasts – Inspired by The Division

Ubisoft said, “Choose your faction, traits, abilities, and ultras. Select from an arsenal of primary and secondary weapons, attachments, and a device to complete your loadout – then tweak it on the fly to adapt to an ever-changing battlefield. Our first closed test begins on August 5 for PC players in the US and Canada. More tests are coming soon, so be sure to register no matter where you play!”

Players will be able to check the game when it goes live on August 5. A closed beta will also go live on August 5.
