This new Assassin’s Creed title will also be shown off in a reveal next week.

The next title in Ubisoft’s famous Assassin’s Creed series has officially been announced, and its title is Assassin’s Creed: Mirage. There was a leak that revealed various details regarding the next title in this beloved series, including details about the setting and how the game’s protagonist may, in fact, be Basim, a character from Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla

Ubisoft announced this newest title on their official Twitter:

Assassin's Creed Mirage is the next Assassin's Creed game.

We can't wait to tell you more on September 10 at Ubisoft Forward: 9PM CEST | 12PM PT. #AssassinsCreed pic.twitter.com/92LoEcrrWs

This new image contains an Assassin engaging in well… An Assassination. Whether or not this Assassin is in fact Basim from Valhalla is still up in the air; however, in conjunction with the other images that were leaked before the official announcement, it may be safe to say that this is in fact Basim.

Here are those images:

Now, as reported by Eurogamer, it seemed as though the image that was found on the fansite The Codex Network, this title may have originally been a DLC and been transcribed into its very own stand-alone game. From the leak, it seems that this game may be set in 9th-century Baghdad and see a harkening back to the older style of the titles that many fans of the series first engaged with in the first Assassin’s Creed released back in 2007.

More official details about Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will be shown off at the Ubisoft Forward on September 10th at 3 pm EST / 12 pm Pacific / 8 pm UK / 9 pm CEST. How excited are you for this next Assassin’s Creed title? Comment your thoughts down below.
