As a young lady attempts to fend off four attractive suitors in this romantic comedy in Variable Barricade, she gets into all sorts of trouble.
Variable Barricade, published by Aksys Games, is now playable on the Nintendo Switch. The game is designed by Otomate and Design Factory as they put fans of this genre in the shoes of a young girl whose life is about to change. Hibari, the protagonist of Variable Barricade, realizes that her grandpa is desperate to find her a spouse, but she is as resolved to reject them all.
After inheriting a large fortune, Hibari finds that her grandpa has enlisted the help of four well-suited bachelors and a vigilant butler to find her the love of her life. Hibari is subjected to a never-ending stream of challenges and temptations as suitors vie for her affections. Is it possible that these men are more than what they seem to be? Hibari’s main aims are to scare away all of the potential bridegrooms and to resist falling in love at any cost.

Variable Barricade had launched initially on PlayStation 4 and Vita in 2018, and there is a “T” rating on the ESRB for the game. For this Nintendo Switch release, there are five premium cards included with every first-run edition of the game that depict the major characters. While supplies last, buyers who purchase the game via the Aksys Games Store may get a special bundle that includes both the game and the soundtrack CD.
