The retro first-person shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun will be released on PC & Consoles in 2023.

With Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, Focus Entertainment and Auroch Digital have unveiled a brutal and furious tribute to the iconic shooters of old. This single-player first-person shooter was first announced at Games Workshop’s Skulls Showcase. It’s currently in development for a release in 2023 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, placing players in the boots of the ultimate war machine: a Space Marine. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

A trailer was published by Focus Entertainment to mark this announcement. Players will have fun with the game while enjoying the gameplay, style, and aesthetics of some of their favorite first-person shooters from the 1990s. This game is an excellent combination of the two genres. Players prepare their bolt guns and get ready to charge into the fray as seasoned Space Marines on a risky mission across the galaxy to take on the Chaos Space Marines and daemons of Chaos.

Players will blast through sprites, pixels, and viscera in beautiful boomer shooter fashion while unleashing the terrible might of the Space Marine armament at their disposal. They’ll need to run, leap, and charge through enormous levels to blast, tear, and slice their way through the vilest heretics in the galaxy.

“We are delighted to be working on this fast-paced indie FPS alongside the talented Auroch Digital studio and our long-standing partner Games Workshop,” said Dessil Basmadjian, Chief Creative Officer at Focus Entertainment. “We are delighted to be working on this fast-paced indie FPS alongside the talented Auroch Digital studio and our long-standing partner Games Workshop.” “We are delighted by Boltgun’s brilliant mix of classic ’90s style, the game’s world, and exhilarating gameplay that is likely to entertain all sorts of gamers,” the developers said. “We are excited by Boltgun’s skillful combination of iconic ’90s style and the Warhammer 40,000 universe.”

“Auroch Digital is thrilled to be collaborating with Games Workshop and Focus Entertainment once again on their next project, Boltgun. Since 2018, a group of fans of the series has been working on developing this game, and we are so pleased that we can FINALLY scream about it from the rooftops!” Nina Adams, the Operations Director at Auroch Digital, has also said that “the company can’t wait to see how players respond once they get their hands on the new content and wait to hear their feedback.”

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is now ready to be added to your wishlist on Steam. Stay tuned to GamesCreed’s gaming news section for future updates.
