Canadian developer Gasket Games unveils the latest game in the Warhammer universe in a new trailer for Gamescom’s opening night live stream.

It appears that an independent Canadian studio will be developing the latest Warhammer game although franchise creator Games Workshop currently wants more AAA Warhammer games.  Gasket Games unveiled the first look at Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground on the first day of Gamescom.

Gamescom Opening Night Live host Geoff Keighley presented Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground, calling it “a brand new universe” for gaming. Concerning the trailer itself, a storyteller presented incredible powers of abhorrent moving over the world, contradicted by the famous Stormcast Eternals. Although the original trailer didn’t reveal many details about gameplay,  the YouTube trailer’s description and information on the game’s Steam page revealed more hints about the next Warhammer title.

According to publisher Focus Home Interactive’s summary of the game, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground is “a skirmish turn-based strategy game,” and looking at the two gameplay screenshots on Steam have fans believing that Storm Ground will be a MOBA. Several fans of Warhammer’s real-time strategy games will likely be disappointed by this news. Nonetheless, Storm Ground’s possible decision of sort would bode well. All things considered, Frontier Developments is now making an RTS take on Warhammer: Age of Sigmar for 2023.

Eventually, even though this choice probably won’t agree with fans, Games Workshop probably won’t need another RTS title to offend different developers, particularly if Gasket Games keeps on supporting the game for quite a while after dispatch. Even though the reality of the situation will become obvious eventually whether Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground will be a triumph, it is energizing to see the Age of Sigmar come back to its methodology based on roots.

Hopefully, Storm Ground will also manage to live up to excited players’ expectations. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground is slated for 2021 for Xbox One, PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
