Watch Dog’s Legion Will Receive No More Updates 2022

Watch Dog’s Legion Will Not Be Updated Going Forward

Watch Dog’s Legion was released over a year ago to a somewhat tepid response. The Game was not highly praised, especially when compared to the huge success of Ubisoft’s other series, such as the continuous success of Rainbow Six Siege, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, etc.

However, the game attained a large fanbase, most likely due to the dynamism that emerges when players engage with the in-game world of London. In a developer announcement on their website, they stated that “TU 5.6 was our final update,” But they also stated that the online would continue to be supported, to an extent. The reward track that is currently available will and has run, with the next being season 5 – Stripes.

However, they further stated that after that, seasons 3-5 will continuously cycle around, allowing players to go back and attain the awards that they may have missed.

To many fans, they would argue that this is abandoning a game with more potential, and others are no doubt happy that it is ending. There were no details about why the game is being, in essence, left behind, but the most obvious case is that the team is working on another project and simply does not have the manpower to continuously support a game, no matter how proud of it they are.

One thing that has been consistently stated since this announcement is how well the Watch Dog’s developers communicated their intentions. One of the biggest complaints recently is with the publishers at Rockstar, who quite simply, abandoned the online mode of Red Dead 2 simply to focus on a decade-old game. The #SaveRedDeadOnline trend is still going strong, with no response from Rockstar or Take-Two (Parent Company) as of yet. It is far easier for the developers to simply declare their intentions as the Watch Dog’s team has done than to lead players on a wild goose chase.

This is the end of an era, but almost certainly an exciting one, as we slowly see the next project the team is cooking up.

Have you heard? Elden Ring has Gone Gold. Or how about this new Horizon Forbidden West Trailer? There’s so much cool stuff coming in the next few months, the hype is real!
